New for 2016. Along with some of our partners, Sea to Skye xperience are introducing a variety of mountain biking experiences, including day trips, family activities and full-on multi-day supported trips around the west coast and beyond. So whether you want a bespoke week of mountain biking activities for you and some friends or just an enjoyable day out with an experienced guide then we will do our best to cater for individual needs and requests.

Mountain Biking Taster Session.


At Sea to Skye we offer a range of mountain bike days on Skye and the mainland exploring some of the areas classic trails. If you want to come along and have a go for the day, we will offer some basic tuition to get you going before you head out on a mountain bike adventure with one of our experienced guides. We also offer bespoke days for individual groups, so contact us with a preferred date and we will build an experience just for you.

Dates: Weekly April-October.

Loch Ness to Skye Coast to Coast.


This six-day tour will take you through some of the Highlands most spectacular scenery with the contrasting views of Loch Ness and the iconic mountains of Kintail before reaching the west coast where you will sail over the sea to Skye via the famous Glenelg Ferry. The route follows the Great Glen Way before branching off at Drumnadrochit onto the Affric Kintail Way which was opened in 2015. On reaching the coast you will travel down the shores of Loch Duich before heading to Glenelg and the ferry to Skye where you may have opportunities to see the sea eagles and otters which frequent the narrows.

Kayak and Bike Knoydart.


A week- long adventure allows participants to experience one of Scotland’s last bastions of wilderness from a completely different perspective. Start the week with a familiarisation day to hone both Sea Kayaking or Mountain Biking skills which will allow you to get the most out of the journey. We will take you through some of Scotland’s most spectacular mountain and coastal scenery. This is a partially supported trip and will involve at least 2-3 nights camping. At Sea to Skye we are also happy to discuss bespoke options with you for you and your group.

Hebridean Adventure.


We are offering a new experience this year which adds a combination of sea kayaking and mountain biking to our Hebridean tour. Each day you will have a choice of going mountain biking, sea kayaking or just soaking up the local culture and landscapes. You can start your week exploring the spectacular coastline of the hebrides by sea kayak, with good opportunities to view the wildlife that frequents these waters in the summer months, or if you decide to give your arms a rest, you can join one of our cycle guides to ride some of the classic trails that wind along the golden sands and rugged moorland of this magical Hebridean archipelago, visiting local cultural and historical points of interest along the way.

This trip is camping based but B&B or Hostel Accommodation can be arranged at an additional charge.
